Re: Is There Anything Pres. Bush Did Right?

Your taxed dollars pay for Government funded abortions daily!

Our Government, like all Governments is evil! They are not your friend! Nor do they care about what you or I think, they are whores for the big Corporations, who really run this place, call the shots! It's all about greed and control.

NOW THEY WANTS US TO BAIL OUT FOREIGN BANKS? Bush has been nothing but a mindless Drum , he knew, yet he didn't do a thing to stop this run away train! Like the war, he passed the buck, the next president will be left cleaning up his mess.

The best thing about Bush, he'll be leaving office!

Thanks, HT, I needed this! It's been a rough day, but I can always count on you for the comic relief!

Thanks!

I can understand his remark about crack. It seem many are really drug out, their not seeing the real picture, nor in touch with the issues facing us here at home! There in la la land! We are in a world of doom, people need to get beyond the abortion issues and realized there a lot more at state here. WAKE UP WE'RE LOSING OUR FREEDOMS! Stop settling, Americans need to band together, get an honest person into office, stop settling for the lesser of two evils!

Until then, it be business as usually in Washington!

Yes, it is. So is heaven.

How does that relate to President Bush?

How the Democrats Created the Financial Crisis: Kevin Hassett

Back in 2005, Fannie and Freddie were, after years of dominating Washington, on the ropes.

What happened next was extraordinary. For the first time in history, a serious Fannie and Freddie reform bill was passed by the Senate Banking Committee. The bill gave a regulator power to crack down, and would have required the companies to eliminate their investments in risky assets.

If that bill had become law, then the world today would be different. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, a blizzard of terrible mortgage paper fluttered out of the Fannie and Freddie clouds, burying many of our oldest and most venerable institutions.

But the bill didn't become law, for a simple reason: Democrats opposed it on a party-line vote in the committee, signaling that this would be a partisan issue. Republicans, tied in knots by the tight Democratic opposition, couldn't even get the Senate to vote on the matter.

But we now know that many of the senators who protected Fannie and Freddie, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Christopher Dodd, have received mind-boggling levels of financial support from them over the years.

There has been a lot of talk about who is to blame for this crisis. A look back at the story of 2005 makes the answer pretty clear.

Oh, and there is one little footnote to the story that's worth keeping in mind while Democrats point fingers between now and Nov. 4: Senator John McCain was one of the three cosponsors of S.190, the bill that would have averted this mess.

Re: Is There Anything Pres. Bush Did Right?

Why do you use "Happy Town" as your avatar! "Hopeless Town" would seem
more fitting as that is how you seem to be.

I can assure you that my HOPE is not in what man can do BUT what MY GOD
can do in and through men. You get enough men/women desiring what would
be pleasing to God and you have a force to be reckoned with! Let God be our
Guide and line up behind Him and there is no greater Army. He is the Head and
His Body in the earth connected to Him, allowing Him to do the leading and there
is HOPE!!!
Sound too simplistic! Not on your life! Looking unto JESUS, the Author and the
Finisher of our faith!

Blessings,

Falla39
