Sounds like the results WD politics..........................from what I hear RM was a very good man and was used as a pawn for the UC's at General Conference to get their agenda through by not allowing the vote to happen on resolution #6 and recommending it to committee.

He probably got tired of being used, versus being a man who represents the district. Sometimes you have put your foot down and refuse to play the game any longer. It has affected his health, it also says alot about his character that he isn't bitter or wore out spiritually.

Honestly with the climate there I would feel sorry for lib-mod-con if they were the Supt. no one is going to placate the dissention there and who wants that on their daily plate life is too short for that. Not one faction is going to be happy.

Bro. Price had the respect of all quarters because of his age and history with all the brethren there you cannot vote in age and experience only TIME and tenure can do that. And when one has been percieved as being a lib or liberal leaning mod then authomatically the cons feel they will get the shaft and if the shoe was on the other foot it would be the same. I understand they want to put in a Older Elder in some type of position to stabilize things. I wont say his name but he goes way back and is the only sibling living out of several that have pastored here
