Yup. Even I knew this! My lunches with Elder's Groce and Epley gained me some knowledge about the AMF and then about four years ago I visited two nights of their Annual Conference when it was held outside of Nashville in Columbia, Tennessee.
I sat in the back near the door just in case I needed to make a quick escpe but taking off my wedding ring and other ring paid off as I fit right in with my short hair and black suit with white shirt.
Besides at the end of service they were too focused on that one poor visiter lady with the bobbed hair, makeup, and jewelry. She had more hands laid on her than the opponent in a Mohammad Ali fight in the 70's! She was shaken more than a martini in a James Bond movie!

I got tired of taking my ring off every time I visited. Then I got tired of hearing about RINGS AND TV. Then I just stopped visiting. Next time I go I am going to have to make sure my hair is long. Give them something new to preach about.

Maybe he is covered under "to be announced."
"to be announced" is not me.
I haven't been invited to speak.

Well, Sister, I'm sure you have a lot of valuable things you could tell them (whether they called it preaching or not).

now he will think that because his dad was a special person that HE is a special person. Good going. His head will never shrink back to normal size at this rate.

Re: AMF Celebrates 40 Years / Letter From Chairman
OK,
I don't think I saw it here so I'll be the bad guy and pose the question.
Doesn't AMF mean "Always Mad and Fighting"?
Back in the late sixties or early seventies, I used to get a magazine from the AMF (that's what they were called back then). There were some pretty good articles in it but it always seemed to emit anger and condemnation. One UPC preacher told me, "They don't think they've had church unless they beat somebody up."
Is there any truth to the rumor that the reason for the organization's existence is because Murray Burr was not elected GS of the UPC?
And, since I've already put myself in position for attack, any body want to surmise what the UPC might have become if Murray Burr had been elected GS?
I'll duck now for the sticks, stones, bricks, mud balls, curses, and remarks that may be coming my way.
