 This is positive so I hope it's ok to post it here.
Anyone who knows me can confirm I am not a “name it and claim it” proponent. In fact I have difficulty accepting anything that’s free…the old,, there is no free lunch.
That being said I would like to relate a praise report.
First of all I’ll refer to a testimony from 3 yrs ago that I posted on fcf. I attended a ladies retreat at a large independent church in town. At the end of the Fri service they requested we hold up our offering and I lifted my check and they prayed a blessing on the offering.
At the time I worked a retail job with low low hourly rate since you could make it up w/commissions (sure…..) In any event things were slow and we divided the pie among too many employees.
The next morning I went to work and early in the morning I began working with a couple who had their list of window sizes. After about 2 hrs I had a $2000 plus sale ! I attributed this to the previous evening offering and prayer.
Fast forward, I work in another retail/commission position, but with a better hourly wage. But the housing market is slow which translates to the window covering market being slow also.
Selling in stock merchandise…good; selling custom order merchandise ….better; selling custom orders with installation ........... BEST.
Last week my husband and I went to a charismatic church near our home to hear Bishop Tudor Bismark. After the service he took an offering and said everyone had to give something. I didn’t have any checks but found a five dollar bill. I once again lifted money and it was prayed over.
I worked the weekend and we were busy; Nothing over the top though.
Monday I began work at 2 pm. Within 2 hours I had sold two install contracts and an hour later had another. That’s 3 in one afternoon……unheard of!!!! Praise the Lord!!!
Do I support name it and claim it….no…..do I believe God will honor our giving…..YES!
