Just say you can´t find it in the Bible...don´t put people in catagories...or say you can find it in the Bible...

I find it amazing that when the Bible says that Kings went to women to listen to them prophesy before going to battle and to hear the Word of the Lord that they say a woman cannot preach. Doesn't make any sense. Either women can speak the Word of the Lord or they cannot. And, God chose a woman to lead Israel into battle. Barak would not go without Deborah and a woman delivered Israel. Funny how a woman (women actually in this case) delivered Israel and then people say God cannot do it or that he just used women because there were no men to use. Well, maybe there are no men volunteering in many cases, if that is why God even chooses women.

No offense intended, but you're misrepresenting Deborah's involvment. Bro. Benincasa talked about her in an earlier post.

As Deborah warned Barak, that because he asked her to go with him the honor of battle would go to a female. Marking it as the indicator of the condition of Israel at the time of woman leadership.

You really should reread the account of Deborah. When you do you'll see it is quite different than your comments.

I would say not one of us alive really knows what Deborah did...we read what we believe...might as well be honest about it...

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?

I see Deborah as a strong woman in a great time of need...a woman that judged God´s people...a woman that was used of God and God cursed those that did not help her...

Elder Burk, cognitive dissonance, causes the best of God's children to hit a wall.

I get a giggle everytime I hear about the quote un quote "warrior" Deborah leading Israel into battle.

ILG, Lord bless your heart.

When people need to slam others with quotes about blindness, their argument pretty much sounds lame to me, right off.
