Yes, very good. And Clinton's camp are working on fighting against Ted Cruz because they believe he will be the inevitable nominee.

Ted Cruz and Jeff Sessions have new legislation, which Cruz wrote, to reform the HB-1 visa program.
Quote:
Comments by Ted Cruz:

"I have long been a supporter of bringing in high-skilled workers because I think that benefits economic growth. But unfortunately what we’ve seen in recent months is report after report after report of large companies abusing the program and bringing in workers who are not high-skilled, who tend to be mid-level or even low-level IT workers and bringing them and then laying off American workers—and to add insult to injury, forcing the American workers to train their foreign replacements before they leave.

That is not only directly contrary to what the program was meant to do, it is an absolute abuse and is unacceptable. And so Jeff Sessions and I together have assembled reform legislation to fix the H-1B program to require among other things that anyone coming in on an H-1B visa have an advanced degree, to require certification from university and academic standards, to prohibit companies if you’re bringing in H-1B visas from laying off workers—you can’t do both—and to ensure that they cannot be paying foreign workers materially less than they are paying U.S. workers.

We designed this together really to work in concert with what I have announced which is if I’m elected president I intend to impose a moratorium on the H-1B program and audit every company that has received this visas to determine whether they’re abusing the program. And if they’re abusing the program, they will be suspended from the program—and if they’ve violated the law, they will be prosecuted."
He goes into the details on his website:

Quote:
A Cruz Administration, in addition to modifying whom we allow to pursue citizenship, will take a hard look at our foreign-worker programs to ensure that they provide the most value to the American people. I will:

Suspend the issuance of all H-1B visas for 180 days to complete a comprehensive investigation and audit of pervasive allegations of abuse of the program: Initiate an immediate 180-day investigation and audit of the H-1B visa program and enact fundamental reforms of this program to ensure that it protects American workers. In recent months, more and more reports have become public of companies replacing American workers with cheaper foreign workers, contrary to the stated intent of the H-1B visa program. This will stop, and the H1-B program will be suspended until we can be certain that the program is no longer being abused.
Enforce existing federal protections for American workers: Conduct systematic audits of the companies that have taken advantage of the H-1B visa program during the last 15 years. All companies that have violated the terms of the H-1B visa program will be barred from using it for a period of years. The Attorney General will have authority to prosecute any individual found to have committed H-1B visa fraud, and offending companies will be suspended from receiving government grants and contracts.
Amend the H-1B visa program to fulfill its original purpose: Work with Congress to pass reform legislation for the H-1B visa program that will:
Create an advanced degree requirement: Only individuals with advanced degrees in their respective fields may be brought to the United States with an H-1B visa. And preference will be given to those with advanced degrees from American universities.
Create a “layoff cool-off” period for all H-1B visa applications: Companies must wait one or two years between laying off a worker and bringing in any H-1B foreign workers to ensure that the program is not used to displace American workers.
Establish accreditation or recognition requirements for overseas schools: The recent lack of federal oversight of the H-1B visa program has fueled a cottage industry of diploma mills. Foreign academic institutions must meet minimum accreditation standards at least as stringent as those imposed on American universities in order to qualify for the advanced-degree requirement.
Require sworn affidavits describing domestic hiring efforts: Companies will provide sworn statements and documentation that detail their efforts to hire Americans before requesting foreign workers through the H-1B visa program. Individuals who make false statements in these affidavits will be subject to perjury charges.
Suspend companies from H-1B visa eligibility for failure to help foreign workers obtain green cards: Many companies misuse the H-1B visa program to train foreign workers that they intend to send back overseas to compete with America. The law must impose additional requirements on employers to pursue Legal Permanent Resident status on behalf of their H-1B visa-based foreign workers, or risk loss of access to the program.

Well, well, the Clinton campaign believes Ted will be the nominee.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official

Last night, Donald Trump, at a rally in Iowa begins his attacks on Ted Cruz.

His first ignorant and childish statement was against Ted's father - “I do like Ted Cruz, but not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba.” What does that mean? LOL!

Second he hits Ted on being against government subsidies for ethanol:

“With the ethanol, really, he’s got to come a long way. But I understand it, oil pays him a lot of money. He’s got to be for oil, right? He’s from Texas, to the best of my knowledge there’s a lot of oil in Texas."

He's from Texas, right?

There are government subsidies for ethanol because it is not economical. It's more expensive, gallon for gallon, than oil and gas. If the government wasn't forcing the oil and gas industry to blend in ethanol into its fuel, gas prices would go down. Ethanol is also corrosive, over time, to car parts.

I notice, in a partial list of products made by petroleum, that Donald Trump in his building projects would need to find a replacement, and that wouldn't come from corn:

Electrical tape
Safety glasses
Tool racks
Fan belts
Tires
toilet seats
Linoleum
Faucet washers
Soap
Paint
Floor wax

etc, etc.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official

Well, Trump is getting nervous. Goes on a character attack against Ted Cruz. The only attack he knows how to do.

Cruz trouncing Trump in Iowa

Here is the full clip of Ted Cruz discussing important issues for the primary. It is what Donald is calling an attack by Cruz, which it wasn't.

Today, on Sunday Morning with Chris Wallace, Trump says that Ted Cruz is a "maniac" because he can't get along with anyone. LOL! It begins at the 7:00 mark.

George Will puts that "maniac" comment into PERFECT context:

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official

A little more on the dust up with Trump calling Ted Cruz a maniac - Rush and Mark Levin weighing in. Also, Greg Gutfeld who I consider a Rhino supporter.

Here is a clip wherein Greg Gutfeld says that Trump's comment about Cruz being a maniac is like Chris Christie criticizing someone for being overweight. LOL!

Rush Limbaugh: So, now Trump is acting like the GOP Establishment or a Democratic operative hitting Ted Cruz for his Conservatism.

Quote:
Cruz Forces Trump Blunders
December 14, 2015

“This is obviously the Trump campaign deciding to use the most common criticism against Cruz because they see that Cruz has negatives. They see that Cruz is not liked by the Republican establishment, and so they’re just piggybacking on that, I think, as a way for Trump to maybe score some points with the Republican establishment. So he’s decided to go after Cruz here in the way the establishment Republicans go after Cruz, in the way the media goes after Cruz, in the way the Democrats go after Cruz. He’s essentially put on his John McCain hat here and is saying, ‘I’m Donald McCain, and I’m the guy that can cross the aisle and work with the other side. Ted Cruz can’t.’ I was kind of surprised by that.”
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/20...trump_blunders

Mark Levin: In short - "It is inconsistent being a populist without conservatism. That’s liberalism.”

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official

I applaud Mr. Cruz. He has played Trump like a deck of cards.

And some of you were right when you said Trump's mouth would one day be his undoing. But it was NOT Trump's bluntness about immigration, Islam and political correctness that snared him. It was his negative comments on Cruz.

Trump had the gall to criticize Cruz and call him a maniac for standing up to the establishment in the Senate, the establishment Trump claims to hate. This certainly makes Trump look like a hypocrite and it will cause him to start losing support to Cruz.

Thankfully Cruz is in agreement with Trump on most things. This should be interesting.

Yes, very interesting.

Selzer is the best pollster in America according to Nate Silver and 538. Her polling is the gold standard. That's one of the reasons Trump freaked out over the weekend and went into full Democrat and GOP Establishment mode against Ted.
