I have never in my life heard of a preacher preach on lingerie in bed. Pants are pants I agree, but I think I will let people deal with this one without my help.

Hey, I agree with you. Our pastor preached against any bifurcated attire on women, period. He'd even say, "What if you have a house fire? You have to rush out of the home and there you are with your wife and daughters in the night air in front of everyone in pants. It's an abomination!"

Here's an example of the "trousers" that were common in ancient Babylon. They were big and flowy. lol

Jewish women wore these bifurcated garments under their outer attire in central Asia. These were influenced by Person styles and cuts.

What if a person sleeps nude? If they have house fire that would be kind of funny. I still will keep things private.

Inner garments for both male and female were essentially tunics cut like this... it was also common for both man and woman to wear these when working the fields. There was essentially no major distinction between male and female attire.
