LOL!! Point taken. I stand corrected.

Are you going to insist we put "brother" or "pastor" in front of "Wholehearted" when we address you?
I have a life thank you.

You are welcome. I do appreciate you explaining what you found offensive in her post because I kept reading it over again thinking I was missing something.

I should have considered the source of the complaint and realized it would be something like you explained.

I want to prepare you in advance that you may see a post at some time from me that will have a persons last name without a reference to their vocation or calling. It will mean no disrespect so please do not take it that way.

A liability instead of an Asset

Once you get away from this goofiness and look back at it you realize how sad it really is that these good folks are caught up in chasing imaginary bogeymen in the most innocent of things.

Some actually worship their own supposed "piety".
Goofiness is an understatement but it does explain how most of those that leave see things. Just plumb goofy!
When Pentecostal preachers outside the UPC ranks are told that the UPC has men leaving because the majority of voters - voted to be able to advertise on Television - they look at you like you have lost your mind and ask - run that by me again. When told again - they say - You know good and well that is not the truth - Surely no one is that ignorant. It makes good men look totally ignorant. This is one reason I had to distance myself from it all as has many thousands that have left it. It becomes a liability instead of an asset.

Excellant comments AB...I for one can't see why the dissenters are so upset! The resolution for one did not force churches to buy and watch a tv. It only allowed the use of tv for advertisement. Your comments hit it right on the nerve. Simply because as long as the dissenters decry tv, the sillier they will look to the world!

I have a friend that his dad was a pastor all his life. When they would leave the church every Sunday - his dad would look at his mom and say "You know Virginia, People are FUNNY!"
He said - I never understood that until I started pastoring. He said I will look at my wife on the way home from Church and say - "You know Virginia (and her name is Ruth) People are Funny!" She usually replies, "Funny My FOOT, They are stark raving CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
