There is no evidence Noah preached to the unsaved in Genesis 6 or 7...

There is only this reference in 2 Peter that can be interpreted in various ways ...

2 Peter 2:5 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5: And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.

I guess one can say that the ark itself was a testament .... of what was going to happen ... I'm sure he got questioned about it.

Good point, MFBlume.

I guess that's where we make the translation that he "preached to the ungodly while he was building the ark".

But it can be interpreted that he was a model of the just/righteous. See Hebrews 11.

7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Another excellent point. Good discussion.

A model certainly preaches through lifestyle.

All I know is that Evan Almighty just built an ark.

It wasn't until the dam broke that he started "preaching."

Great movie! Kind of helps you understand what Noah must have felt.......
