My posts are not cryptic or any different from the Apostolic message of the primitive church.

Furthermore, the age old contrivance that if Trinnies truly have the Holy Spirit then they will be in lock step to my views .... is bordering on blasphemous ... are you denying that they are not indwelt with the Spirit of our Father.
Dan,

You can't have it both ways. You state you believe Jesus name baptism is correct, and then you post 20 posts attempting to prove that it does not matter what name is stated in water baptism.

Which is it??

Is Jesus Name baptism the correct biblical way to be water baptized???

OR

Does it just not matter whether one says F,S,HG or JN when they are baptized??

Please answer.
Thanks

Are you sure it was only developed in the early part of the 20th century? There have been throughout history different groups and individuals that baptized in Jesus name AND the Orthodox churchs view water baptism as a baptism into the body of Christ

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Quite sure ... when one includes all the components found in today's PAJC Water and Spirit Oneness doctrine ...

So I am left with the impression that you simply do not know what you believe, or that you are lying to us all. As you first state that you believe that Water baptism is to be done in Jesus name, and then you spend the rest of the thread tearing down that very doctrine.

Let me state that I have posted with you thus far as a poster. I am now stepping in as an admin to let you know that the propagation of ANY doctrine that undermines the doctrine of the Oneness of God, or that Jesus name baptism is the biblical mode of water baptism is not welcomed here. If you want to continue down that course, then Admin will take action. We will allow debate as to whether one is saved at belief, or at baptism, or at the reception of the Holy Ghost. But we will NOT allow debate as to any of these topics not being biblical.

My reason for believing it to be water baptism has to do with the wording.

Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?.....this is water baptism. It has to be since it is speaking of death and note...were baptized INTO Jesus Christ. I believe this INTO means into the body of Christ.

Gal 3:27-28 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Because of the wording, into Christ, this is water baptism.

1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.....same here..we are baptized into one body or into Christ by the Spirit. this is water baptism.

Rom 2:27 And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a transgressor of the Law?
28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God. ..... this verse agree with 1 Cor 12:13..the Spirit does the baptizing when we are buried in water in Jesus name.

What makes you think 1Cor12:13 is speaking of something other than water baptism? Do you think Paul is repeating himself with different phrasing? Does the word, and, link two separate thoughts?

While I see the candidate calling on the name of Jesus at the time of baptism the preferred and biblical method, far it be from me to judge those who practice water baptism with additional confession by the baptiser.

I think it is absolutely bizzare that some only consider Oneness Pentecostals as Christians.

You're entitled to an opinion ... but to imply I am lying is troublesome.

I will chalk it up to frustration or an inability to construct meaning from my posts.

No one is undermining Oneness Apostolic doctrine ... although I can see this as being threatening to some who would have to re-adjust a century long feud w/ Trinitarians ...

Furthermore ... I don't think there are but only a handful PCIers on this forum that would quibble w/ anything I've posted in this thread.

Looks like this view may be in question and unacceptable.

The context of the chapter is clear ... it's about the Spirit ... also the Hebraic writer often repeated phrases for emphasis.
