IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME BY NOW
performed by Simply Red

If you don't know me by now
You will never never never know me

All the things
That we've been through
You should understand me
Like I understand you
Now girl I know the difference
Between right and wrong
I ain't gonna do nothing
To break up our happy home
Don't get so excited
When I come home
A little late at night
Cos we only act like children
When we argue fuss and fight

If you don't know me by now
You will never never never know me

We've all got our
Own funny moods
I've got mine,
Woman you've got yours too
Just trust in me like I trust in you
As long as we've been together
It should be so easy to do
Just get yourself together
Or we might as well say goodbye
What good is a love affair
When you can't see eye to eye

If you don't know me by now
You will never
Never never know me

Did SR originally do that song? I see they also do "brand new" which was originally done by the Stylistics

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Two great minds at work here, Prax...I was thinking the same thing when I read the lyrics.

They did not originally record that, but can't recall who did...

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart

Would only mean heartbreak for me.

I run for the bus, dear,
While riding I think of us, dear,
I say a little prayer for you.
At work I just take time
And all through my coffee break-time,
I say a little prayer for you.

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart

Oh, how I'll love you

My darling believe me,
For me there is no one but you!
Please love me too
And I'm in love with you
Answer my prayer now

Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart
and I will love you
Forever, and ever we never will part
Oh, how I'll love you
Together, forever, that's how it must be

LOL!! Of course Dionne sang it first, but this was sung in one of my favorite scenes from the movie My Best Friend's Wedding...

I love that scene! Reminds me of many times going out after church - - looks just like something we've done before!

I like McCartney's version...have you ever heard Bryan Duncan's version? I like it a little better...it's really good...
