It seems clarity in the manual does not mean anything, as some will do what they want anyway.

Thanks Dan.
And to be clear, since it turns out more people know who I am than just BOOM, it was not the DS (District Super) whose desk was under discussion. I still love and support the Super.
Hey, I still love the guy with the desk. His mind is easily muddled and he was being manipulated by a couple of guys who were sleeping around. The adulterers finally were exposed and I have been "rehabilitated" (to use that old Stalinist phrase).

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that article VII, Section 7, Paragraph 21 is changed to read as follows:
21. No minister who withdraws or is dropped from our fellowship, whose conduct is under question, shall be allowed to preach for any of our ministers, nor pastor any of our churches. Neither shall any minister of the United Pentecostal Church International fellowship be allowed to preach or participate in any form in any services (except funerals and weddings) sponsored or conducted by any minister who has withdrawn or been dropped, whose conduct is under question. This does not apply to anyone being used in any capacity in his or her local assembly, with the exception of the position of associate pastor or assistant pastor.
(a) The term "under question" shall be taken to mean a formal decision by a District Board reflecting a concern that conduct in flagrant violation of the Manual of the United Pentecostal Church International has occurred.
(b) The term "conduct unbecoming a minister" shall be taken to mean any conduct of a moral, financial, or ethical nature that would cause a reproach upon the ministry.

The first part I can agree with...if the person is morally in question they should not be preaching in anyones church. However the part about not preaching in their church or having anything to do with them I am not so sure. First of all, that pastor might be instrumental in redeeming that other back to God...if indeed they are morally wrong.
On the other hand, does this mean people like T.F. Tenny will lose their license by fellowshipping with his son or even appearing at non UPC events as they have? Even Sister Tenny has appeared at non-UPC prayer events etc etc....
This is ridiculous...just what we need is more laws

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

BTW I think it's kinda dumb that what was supposed to be a ministerial alliance is a "what minister you CAN'T fellowship with" alliance

The large portion slays me. Notice that there is nothing mentioned about a flagrant violation of biblical principles? All that matters is an adherance to THE MANUAL!!!!
The UPC is moving further into strict denominationalism.

Just as the denominations are moving away from it...how ironic? The only problem is they are moving away from biblical principles like homosexuality being a sin and we are moving more towards non-biblical rules and laws

BTW, what was resolution six is being brought to the floor as resolution four.

There is far too much independence in the UPCI churches for this to have any serious bite, IMO.
Who submitted it? Does anyone know?

If they are supposed to be a part of this body, then they will eventually be miserable anywhere else. If they are supposed to be a part of another body, then they will eventually be miserable here.

This is a very wise and mature statement. I fully agree. It would be my attitude exactly.

I am amazed why any self respecting person would want to subject themselves to all of that political, controlling garbage. Are there really grown men so infatile that they can't think for themselves at all? If so, maybe they should be locked up in a nut house.
