I was hooked on country, gave it up, cold turkey.

For me, I still like:
Led Zep
The Who
Eagles
Neil Young
(wish I had some ELO, Phil)
Rick Wakeman was awesome
Yes
Spirit
Allman Brothers
and others....
I just take the old music and put the good ones, without the sex and drugs stuff on new CD's and come a sunny day, I'm drivin' "topless" with the tunes cranked up!!!
Obviously, I like a lot of contemporary Christian music as well. I do NOT twang, nor do I listen to "twanging."

I about wore out my Carole King "Tapestry" album.
What I remember is the 8 track player I had in my car (a '68 Firebird). I thought I was HOT stuff with that thing even tho I could only afford about 5 different 8 tracks. I remember having a Helen Reddy, an Olivia Newton John, of course Carole King, an Imperials, and one other. I can the artist's face, but can't remember his name right now.
Geesh! I really AM getting old
