I just read this news info from meteorologist in Mobile Alabama:
"Dorian" is a Cat 3 and finally gets some northward movement later today. It will move up the East coast the next several days with NO direct impact to FL or GA. Locally, we stay dry and hot. More details on the FOX10 morning news so tune in! I'll see you there...

Thank you MawMaw. We for some reason have more rain and wind today. We are now at the bottom of the storm. Totally out of the cone. Yet, we are at Tropical storm warning, and a hurricane watch. But when I look at the radar we are still getting hit by the outer bands? NOAA NHC doesn’t even have wind speed right at Fort Lauderdale airport? I have 18mph, they have 23mph with gusts at 50????

Ok, random internet check for windspeed Fort Lauderdale is 12mph.
