Number one, your scenarios aren't practical. Inmates in this country have a right to religious materials, so there is no reason why one would go without a Bible, if he wanted one.

The UPC, just like other organizations, offers correspondence courses to inmates via their prison ministry division. All this talk is just that, a bunch of talk, because resources are available to inmates for the pursuit of their religious beliefs.

Rico the ALJC offers one called Prisoners Friend.Its pretty good from what I have seen.
