I as well am very passionate about my doctrinal core beliefs to the point I don't miss the OP world in the least bit. I destined in my heart 9 years ago when we left that I would not be the shipwrecked Pentecostal.
I have visited my dads church numerous times through the years and it never fails I always asked myself what am I doing here. I don't belong.
You can still be passionate and still be wrong.

You said it sailor.

Re: Moving To Cleveland!
Why is this convo still going? Really, JD?
You haven't moved on. You really need to.
You've been out longer than I have...
I may drive down to visit family soon. I'll
probably visit the UPC while I'm there.
Not because I miss "it." I have a few friends
there. I miss them. But, I have no nostalgia
for anything UPC or Apostolic.
You attend/ed AG because it is safe for you.
It's Pentecostal-ish sans legalism.
You are/were too afraid to go too far.
Stop holding on to the past and launch
into the deep. You are trying to control
"this." You need to trust God.

I could go on.
The point is, we do well to not stand in God's place to say what or how He may be leading a person, especially one of His own. What we may assume to be wrong or ungodly or unbiblical may be something the Lord is doing that we don't or can't possibly understand.
Things that are impossible with man are possible with God. He brings camels through the eyes of needles all the time.
So why not just let JD rise and fall to His own master without denouncing him?

JD,
Don't be deceived into thinking because of the lack of spiritual warfare now in your life that you are in the right place. I personally have felt doubly attacked by sin and I believe it is because of the seal on our lives. The adversary wants to destroy us. He targets us just like Job.
When we quit holding up the name of Jesus and the necessity of the Holy Ghost in our lives the enemy is sure to focus his attention elsewhere. I am sorry that there is so much hypocrisy among us, but we must never give up the good fight. The Holy Ghost is essential to have salvation, and a life that is governed by it.

Re: Moving To Cleveland!
Sounds like Jd, kinda like houstin, has let up on the essential doctrine of Jesus name baptism. Wonder what else has dropped?
Not being mean but a pathway like this is not successful.

A/G is also absent of oneness truth and acts 2:38 salvation. Many apostolics are not legalistic. Its not nostalgia but truth.
