Neither of those scenarios matches the Bible. He arose the third day (not AFTER the third day) and it was before dawn and it was on the first day of the week.

Which are impossible in your scenario.

Yep, just like I thought: it's that "new math" they brought in.
Mt. 27:63, Mk. 8:31 AFTER three days I will rise again.

Right, so Jesus arose on the FOURTH day, and not like the rest of scriptures says "on the third day".

He was risen LONG before 6pm in the afternoon. Brother! Are you serious? By the time Mary arrived IN THE MORNING, not the AFTERNOON. He was gone. Seriously.

The afternoon BEFORE. Wed to Sat evening. At the end of 72 hours which would be the first day of the week.

He was buried just before sundown. Sunset. And he arose Sunday morning at about sunrise. You're saying he arose Saturday at Sunset?

So the earthquake in the morning had nothing to do with the resurrection occurring itself?

Nope. Only a testimony. He had already risen. Look at every passage He was RISEN not RISING on that morning.
