I thought I was being clear? Anyway Jesus is YHWH in one realm of being. Or as the modern Oneness teachers are saying it "beyond the incarnation".

In another realm of being he is a man. See? Men need to pray to God. God does not need to pray because he needs nothing. Neither is there any other God for him to pray to. Peace and love, Mike

Luke 20:47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.


Example

Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

Luke 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.



The only way most folks knew how to pray in Jesus' day was to follow the bad example of their religious leaders and Jesus rebuked the prayers of those religious men of his day.

It wasn't God praying to God, but Jesus prayed so he could teach us by example HOW TO PRAY.
