Obviously you missed the point. It's not the point of which is worse than the other. It's the double standard of banning one media because of ill effects while ignoring the same effects on another media.
Ever read the reports about the effects of internet? Internet broken up more marriages in its short time than television has done in fifty years. Internet addiction is far worse than television addiction could ever be.
Studies show that more and more religious people are addicted to internet pornography because it is fed into the privacy of the home. People lure innocent children by visiting children's websites.
The conclusion of the whole matter: If you feel compelled to have a filter on your computer you:
1. Know it's bad and it is your way of making an excuse for having it.
2. Aint' Christian enough to have the internet without it.
If a filter is good enough for a computer, it is good enough for a television.

I don't know this guy. I haven't been on forums much for a while until recently. Didn't know his reputationfor being a cynic. If you two have a history and you feel you can judge his motives through his words, then I'll give you the benfit of the doubt. My apologies. It appeared you were assuming things about his conversation that I felt could not be discerned from a speculative vantage point. I understand now you are not speculating, rather, you are assessing.:diggin

The people I know understand all the elements described below because s because there is Bible to back it up. Okay... Maybe an alcohol ban is extreme, but they understand why. There is no scripture to back up the pro internet/anti television view. Even the cavemen can see the inconsistency with that.
