What about one that lies or steals, can you preach them?

Ftr I am not divorced nor ever have been.

Just asking if you draw the line at all sin or just select this one, IF it is a sin?

I do appreciate your honesty and consistency, And I honestly wonder how these other sins are treated in ministry???

Didn't Jesus believe in an innocent party in Matt 5 and 19?

Re: Innocent party

Not to pretend to answer for Bro. Epley..He does not need me to bolster his Bible teaching, but let me say that a Hebrew wedding was a much more complex affair than our modern wedding customs. The betrothal was a binding contract. A bill of divorcement was required to break this contract, and fornication was just cause to put away. Thus..the "exception clause" in Mathew 5. I am sure the elder will be along soon.

And how do you see that as being different from our laws that also require a divorce to break our wedding vows"

Before,or at the point of the beginning of the physical relationship there could be seen some evidence that the lady was not a virgin. One fact that we do not like to accept when studying the Bible era is that women were considered to be property. The fact of her virginity had cash value... After the marriage had existed physically for a while, there would be no possibility of literal proof of adultery.

Unless caught in the act, as happened and the woman brought to Jesus.

Yes..it is hard to commit adultery all by yourself. Where was the man?? Maybe their culture was a lot like ours in this day, that considers a girl that is immoral a tramp..or some such other word..and winks at a young man that does the same.
