Another thing to think about is most of your family-values voting Christians in Florida are simply not excited about voting for a guy with strange gods-- especially when so much time was spent convincing us that Obama was not a Christian and not an American and thus, not worthy of our vote.
But the Mormon is?
Where is the consistency?
I'm not being bigoted, I am applying our arguments against Obama to Romney and he fails to meet the same Christian standard that many Republicans were trying to show that Obama didn't meet.
At the bare minimum, many Republicans believe that IF Obama is even an American, his upbringing makes him out of touch with "mainstream" America. Yet, you're going to try to convince us that Mr. Romney is one of us? This illogical stupidity will not fly in Florida!
It was our party that encouraged a disdain for Obama on the same issues that some would like for us to ignore for Romney. Where is the consistency?
The selection of Romney was worse than the selection of Palin!
There is a reason that Rubio didn't strongly support Romney at the begining.
Rubio has a better shot of being President in 2016 than Romney has right now, or ever. Rubio is consistent and respected on the right and left.
Romney will not even carry his home state, but with Ryan being as popular as he is in his home state, Wisconsin will be easier to win for Romney/Ryan. Frankly, they MUST win Wisconsin if they want to be seated in the White House next year.
Even with a win in Wisconsin, Romney/Ryan will still probably lose. Their campaign strategy will be electoral college driven because popularity wise, it is IMPOSSIBLE for Romney/Ryan to beat Obama/Biden. If Romney/Ryan, it will be a very close, electoral college victory.

I don't know where you get your source of information but BO is not as popular as you try to project.
Those that are not racist do not agree he is a good president. Very few really like is extreme Liberiism. But there are many more socialist than there used to be.
As to Palin I still prefer her over all the other candidates.

Respectfully disagree with most of your premise.
I will guarantee you one thing, if you limited the voting to those who do not take money from the government then Romney/Ryan would win in a landslide.

JD - take a look at this article!

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Hundreds of people were turned away Monday morning at a St. Augustine campaign stop featuring Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who defended his running mate's Medicare proposal.
The people were not admitted to the event after security screeners couldn't clear them fast enough.
Looks like there is some enthusiasm for Romney in Florida!

JD - I just checked and Florida's unemployment rate for June was 8.6%.
What do you mean the economy is so good?

Did they hand out some more free subways? - which they did in Waukesha, Wisconsin in April - on Primary day -again against the law. Election laws read that you cannot give something away worth more than $1. It's a felony. You know what the DA said, "We don't have evidence." LOL! Video all over the place.
Anyway, I wish someone would follow the rules and really want to change what goes on in Washington.

Republican Floridian quote from article:
""You are making it hard for Romney,” he wrote. “… So just keep your mouth shut.”"

Re: Romney VP Pick Today 9AM
There are some who think Romney has a chance to win Florida. If anything, the selecyion of Ryan will be a liability down here.
Oh well.
I stand by my assertion-- he won't win Florida. Even with hosting the RNC here-- it's a great idea, but ultimately, Obama will carry Florida.

Re: Romney VP Pick Today 9AM
JD, Romney/Ryan are going to cream Obama/Biden. Florida is faring better because of a conservative governor who has helped the state turn around. Obama's record is so abysmal all he can do is go negative on R&R. In the meantime Romney and Ryan will provide a real plan with details and numbers that add up. Team Obama will offer demagoguery with phrases like, "They will gut medicare". And Team Romney will show plainly that is a lie. Anyone over 55 will get what they were promised. Under 55 will be given freedom to make choices. In the debates Ryan will run circles around Biden. Romney will hold his own with Obama. The August economic numbers will be ugly, September, October and the American voter will not vote for what Obama will promise will happen in another 4 years they will vote for a man who has really created jobs, saved businesses, saved the Olympics and offerd more than just broad generalities and platitudes. America fell for the rhetoric the first time. This time Obama has a track record to answer for.
Its gonna be an old fashioned butt kicking by Romney/Ryan.
