It is a matter of personal choice and we should not just anyone if they believe a foot is 8" who do we think we are to demand 12" to be a foot!

Anyone that knows me knows I am not a UC. I am a middle of the road guy that has a very strong disposition to be opposed to the those who....

think our view on Long Uncut Hair Simple.

Those who see our desire to be Distinctive as simply PennyCostal.

I have a real and present desire to do what I can to avert a great turn to the left that I feel that if some were giving free riegn would accomplish.

My point and Harrelsons is not to offend. But to provoke discussion so that we don't just head off into the wild blue yonder that will leave us with regret that we did not think, pray and fully discuss the value of who we were/are....

before we become something entirely different.

Do we really want to be TD JAKES and what his doctorine produces?

Do we really want to be Tommy Tenney?

Do we really want to be a Oneness TBN? Reaching the world... but forgetting why we wanted to reach them?

That is what many have and are doing.

I am very impressed with Harrelson's writing and look forward to reading more. He seems to have a good spirit as well which counts a LOT with me!

Bro Phillips,
you really think TV would cause us to become that ?
I'm not saying it wouldn't maybe you are right ?
my thing is this, why don't we all calm down and take a wait see approach. If the anti TV side is right, then their opint will prevail. If the TV side is right and great revival erupts then To God be the Glory. why couldn't we all at some point swallow our pride (which ever side proves to be correct) and admit the other had the mind of God on this ?
I say let the these men try it out and if It fails it's no sweat on your back. do you see my point ? what the man does down the Road in his local church , is that really going to effect your ministry ?

That was a good article....even if he did attribute "Give me liberty or give me death" to Nathan Hale instead of Patrick Henry.

This point needs to be emphasized.

Thad, the spirit of legalism is the last stronghold Satan has on the church. If the devil can get people to fight over unbibilcal mandates, he's has effectively neutralized the church body.

Don't forget the spirit of liberalism.

While there certainly is merit to your point the pendlum swings both ways.
