I have often thought that we should bring back matchmakers. It would solve some problems, and create others. I know that this used to be fairly common with the Jewish people as well.

Which would have been a wrong answer (to the ultimate question) anyways since the planet was actually populated by the riff raff (accountants and telephone sanitizing specialists) of an alien race and thus displaced the indigenous population which was involved in the original computing matrix.

Matchmaking is only good when you actually like the people that others tend to match you with. Case in point I had a good friend and everyone we knew always matched him with some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. With ME they would pick out someone "with a good personality!". Hint hint nudge nudge.

Well, I have to say that the telephone sanitizers were a vital portion of the society that they descended from. After all, that whole population was destroyed because they shipped them to Earth. However, I had forgotten that the question would have been impossible to ask because of the fact that they had come to Earth.

Yes, it was a particularly virulent disease from a especially dirty telephone that did the whole population in.

As I said earlier, matchmaking opens up a whole new can of worms. I would only rely on a person to set me up that I trusted very deeply. Those people could be counted on one hand, and most of those I would not let buy me clothes if I were blind.

Re: Just a thought.
I suppose that they were not all that bright to do themselves in such a disastrous fashion. I wonder what it would say about us?

Amen brother.
Now I've been married for over 7 1/2 years to someone that I both get along with AND is beautiful but NO ONE I know would have matched me up with her prior to our meeting. Lucky for me God Himself matched us through an unbelievable series of coincidences.

Re: Just a thought.
...uh...I would take the word *meddling* out of that since we have Jay's approval.
