No, it is not a truth. It is a different category. The truth is SABBATH. And HOW Sabbath is handled in regards to violation of it or even how Sabbath is carried out is the issue. We keep Sabbath today in a spiritual manner. It is a modification of how it is applied, but sabbath truth, itself, is sure and never changes. In fact, the Sabbath day was a SHADOW of the true Sabbath. First that which is natural, and then that which is spiritual afterward. How can it be truth that changes if a shadow of something is in force and then set aside to make way for the substance?

Picking up a stick on the sabbath to burn a fire is still true in the spiritual. Picking up at least a stick of self effort to advance ourselves in the kingdom with fleshly power is worse and brings spiritual death as well.

and 1 John 4:17

17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

would anyone like to comment on the profoundness of these 2 verses?
Those two passages are both emphasizing the need for us to allow Christ to live through us and that we are in such union with Christ that everything about His identity is said to be our identity, except his deity. His death is our deaths. His burial is our burial. His resurrection is our own. And we are likewise seated with Him on the throne in glory.

The high priest entered the most holy place IN THE STEAD OF ALL THE PEOPLE. So as Christ is in the most holy of heaven, it can be said we are there, too! God sees us as ONE! And the more we realize that and live like it is true, we shall boldness the entire remainder of our lives and truly live BY FAITH!!

Speaking of the same old same old of always and only hearing Acts 2:38 in church, this has been a detail that the Lord has led me personally to delve into in my teaching ministry. It falls in the same category as instances in the bible where Paul taught it was not him but Christ living in him that was occurring in his ministry. Jesus also said in John 6 that as He lived by the father so are we meant to live by Him.

Christ was located on the cross in our place to die as us. He is now locating inside of us to LIVE as us. Actually live through us like a hand operates through a glove. there are depths of this understanding all through the new testament that most barely even hear about today.

That is what I mean by depths in the bible that people try to find outside the bible. Forget anything else, the bible is so jammed with such depths of which people have hardly scratched the surface!!!!

There are some who were considered mystics, like Jeanne Guyon in the 1600's, but she was only thought so by the cold and dead catholic system back then. The last book she ever wrote was, aside from the bible, burned by the catholic church more than any other book. Spiritual Torrents. It is wonderful. Read her autobiography, as well.

The deepest Christian studies you will find have to do with really denying self and learning how to let Christ live through you. Gal. 2:20 material. The mystical stuff is more sensational and actually caters to carnality, to be truthful. The flesh is fascinated with mystical things.

Check out the Chronicles of the Door, by Gene Edwards. A five part series starting with "The Beginning. "

Read Calvin Miller's "The Singer Trilogy".

Watchman Nee's "The Spiritual Man", which is free and online here: http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/SMCFP.htm

Blume I was reading watchman nee's release of the spirit today and in it, he mentions madame guyon and brother lawrence. Both of whom are considered christian mystics and fall under the mysticism category. I don't know who you consider to be in this category that could be harmful to study, but I am considering the classic christian mystics, such as st theresa, st john of the cross etc. including guyon and lawrence. If nee can quote them then I feel I'm on the right track. I am not going to spend my time learning hebrew just to learn a few nuggets of truth. I think I picked a good category along with some books on the jewish roots of the NT by men like gershom scholem.

People like Guyon and Lawrence depended heavily on the written word, not experiences that were not covered in the Word. And they were called mystics by those who were biblically ignorant.
