We post about politicians because they affect all of our lives in the voting process. Rob doesn't affect you or me. Nothing he does at his church affects my life and nothing he or his wife does is any of my business.

Once again ... your opinion ... we come here to discuss many things such as our common heritage ... various religious paradigms we agree and disagree with ... many of what we "analyze" often are germane to the worldviews we espouse and believe ...
After you're done peeking into my heart, PO ... I hope we can continue to discuss issues here that often are attached to real people. Including the microcosms we find in Apostolica.

And GP is a little rough around the edges, but he is a very nice man. I have seen him speak to situations in people's lives that no one could have known but God. My best friend was one of those people. He turned to the audience and said, "If you drag up this woman's past, you are digging through the blood of Jesus Christ." Amen! She was delivered that night from YEARS of self-condemnation. It was an awesome service. He didn't know her from Adam.

1) I don't get that from DA and I didn't know RM was from Houston. And according to DA, he didn't dig this up, someone alerted it to him. Either way, I think it's a VERY valid point to call attention to this blatant contradiction and deserves consideration. I'll admit, I don't quite have the....well, whatever it is it takes....to call someone out by name like he does. It's not my style, but it's his and when RM makes the very harsh, no-room-for-negotiation-statement he did, and THEN head-bangs with James Brown music the next week, I think it's news and I don't get "You should hate him too" from DA.
2) I'm sure Poe is a nice man and has some good things on his resume. But that doesn't excuse in any way at all his mockery, lack of class, and lack of wisdom. When I compare his schtick with any of the writings of the NT, I can't find one ounce of similarity.
