Who was Jonathan Urshan's father that told him about that?
When/where was this sermon preached?
When was that supposed to have happened?
Do you believe it?
I do not know who his father was, but it was preached in 1977 at the first UPC prophecy conference. Not sure when this happened either. And no I do not not believe it.

He preached it all over at campmeetings, I heard the same sermon in Amarillo Texas at a campmeeting around that time.

I'm concerned that heresy hunting may be turning into leukemia because some cultwatchers seem more intent on destroying parts of the body than healing the body....

Re: End Time Things that never happened....

When I was a kid, they preached that the POPE had the numbers 666 inside his skull cap and he was the Anti-Christ. That was just one of the many crazy things I was taught in church! LOL
That stuff Jonathan Urshan preached was CRAZY! I heard NAU say on several occasions that the Muslims had just (made it sound like it happened that day) pushed a big bolder off the top of the "Wailing Wall" where the Jews prayed and it had killed a bunch of Jews and war and the end was near. The troops were lining up for battle as he spoke! He talked to Rabbi's and they told him they were looking for the Messiah!
I heard him tell that at some kind of big dinner, he was seated next to Don King (boxing promoter) and when he turned his wine glass upside down, he told Don King he was baptized in Jesus Name and not a wine bibber. Don King turned his upside down too and said, "same as you". HA! I am laughing so hard! I wonder why they felt they had to tell stories like that?

Lots of untrue things have been preached!

"He was baptised in Jesus Name and not a winebibber ..."

That's could be a complicated statement whether true or not!

Christ Himself kept his glass rightside up and allowed the unbelievers call him names... Are we truly baptized in "His Name" if we misrepresent Him?

Re: End Time Things that never happened....

Has anyone here outright given up on their erstwhile favorite preacher, church, organization, etc, due to these "signs" not panning out yet?

In like manner, don't be surprised if Harold Camping still maintains a pretty strong following. Here's the latest as of 10pm 5/22, but I saw another news blurb saying he did agree to a public explanation Monday 5/23. Whatevah...

The Bible. Impervious to logic. What other book could say P and ~P, and have people falling all over themselves explaining why that's not a contradiction? OK, maybe some other religious books. Just sayin'.
