I am just using good ole Pentecostal logic;

1. You dare question some things
2. Questioning is an act of rebellion
3. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft
4. Ergo, you are a witch!!!

See how easy Pentecostal pretzel logic is??? Anybody can do it.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Randy they are being pushed out plain and simple. Yes for some it may be a matter of perception. But just like I got banned, I didn't ban them.

Re: Where Do I Belong?

I am listening to Kenneth Haney at Landmark quote

Finney, Wigglesworth, Wesley etc.

What bothers me is one one hand these guys aren't saved, and yet we will quote them as examples of Godly activity

If we believe what we believe, they aren't saved and we should avoid them

Or maybe they had something and we should honor it.

This point along with tithes led to my banning from said forum.

Just listened to the same message Keith and thought the very same thing. You are correct and make a very important observation!

  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.

Re: Where Do I Belong?

By the way, this isn't sour grapes neither am I bitter. Inspite of the fact of the current environment, I still believe the UPCI to be made of up great people and has done much to propagate the Acts 2:38 message around the world.

Yes, I agree. I firmly believe, though, some of those same people have also propogated more than what the Bible contains. God's word comes first. Then, I pick and choose what I want to hear from certain people -- a lot of them have good, moral advice. But, once, they cross the threshold into the gray area, I have to put my foot down at that point.
