Uhhhh... I would, but I really don't want to hijack pel's thread. This one deserves some serious attention, IMO.
Anyway, I don't have to tell a NP joke--she IS the joke.

As to the rest, you guys are just sad, pitiful, little children...just whining about being banned from forums. Face it, you got banned because you crossed the line and when told you crossed the line, you got your feelings hurt and said stuff you should not have.
And BTW, this place IS a rotting cesspool of compromise. I have never seen folks justify stuff like you folks do over here. Probably why I don't fit in over here.
Jason, YOU were the one who could not accurately answer questions about tithing...all you could do was resort to childish retorts and taunts....face it, dude, you got your feelings hurt because you got banned...nothing more, nothing less.

Oh, okay, "preacherman" if that is your real name if I can't accurately answer any questions about tithing, it should be quite easy to prove to all of my great error. I have a thread that is 70 pages long here about tithing, just choose any post in that thread where I have not accurately used scripture, and post in in big red size 7 font bold letters so that my error may be exposed.
Better yet, you could start with posting in the bold size 7 letters where the scripture says for anyone to tithe money, or where the scripture said it was okay for someone who wasn't a Levite to recieve tithes of the people, or the scripture where Paul taught the Gentiles how to tithe, or even any place where Paul even mentioned it.
I could care less for your whining. If you've got scriptural proof tithing is for the church let us have it. you can even cut and paste a bible study so you won't have to do any heavy lifting.
OR EVEN BETTER YOU CAN AGREE TO A CLOSED DEBATE WITH ME ON THE TOPIC ON THIS FORUM (WHICH IS PUBLIC, THUS ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE WITH INTERNET ACCESS IN THE WORLD, NOT A PRIVATE BACK SLAPPERS FORUM) AND EMBARRAS MY UNLEARNED AND IGNORANT USE OF SCRIPTURE. TEAR ME TO SHREDS.
Fact is, if you truly believe me to be in error, you have a BIBLICAL REQUIREMENT to at least make an attempt to correct me, seeing how I would be an erroring brother.

Re: The AFF Cesspool of Compromise
I really don't think that the legality issues of posting threads that are posted elsewhere is really the substance of what is wrong here. I think the moral standard would seem to stand on its own.
I am not sure what purpose the thread serves either. True, it is a closed forum used by ministers and their wives. As such, their identities are not hidden from view and they understand this. It is not a public forum. The fact that someone vented their frustration over differences that seem to separate the labels that we place on each other is not unethical. However, when someone vents those to fellow brethren in an arena that he believes is safe, he should be afforded that confidentiality.
Imagine going to a friend and venting to him over the struggles of your life, leaving and then finding those struggles pasted on FaceBook. You may not agree or fully see the correlation of the analogy, but the fact remains that your confidence has been betrayed. We all have friends in whom we place our trust and hopefully help us remain accountable.
This individual's confidence may not have been directly broken by the one posting the information, but the responsibility of what to do when in receipt of confidential material brings into question what is the moral thing to do. I have great respect for Pel, however, I am not sure this thread could do anything other than enlarge the divide.
The content of the copied post should not even be the issue that we truly look at. Like or not, it was gleaned from a closed forum. We can argue all day or night if it is correct in having such a forum, however, it does exist on that basis. I find it disheartening that not one even showed concern about why it was correct for it to end up here.
And yes, I am member there as well. Not that it should matter.

First of all, thank you for proving original posts right.
Malachi 3:8
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
(P.S. All theives still go to hell)
By the way, Levites (ministers) not only recieved tithes, but paid tithes.

I don't agree with the origin of this thread. That being said, the real reason that these folks have a problem with their words making it to a public forum is because it exposes their true spirit. Its not one of love, concern, or compassion.
But a party spirit of division, arrogance, and pride.
I've been a memeber of their forums, and what was posted on this thread is pretty mild, I am really suprised that of all things that is what was leaked to AFF.
On AFF we are posting for the whole world to see. On these private forum there is quite a bit of gossip going on amongst those who count themselves too holy for us. Remember, you who are too good for us, EVERY idle word will be accounted for. And I know that you guys love legalism and loopholes, but if you type it, I believe you'll be accountable just the same.
The whining from some of these men (not you TP, I believe you post is absent of whining, and full of substantial and legit questions) --is simply because they are being exposed for who they are. they love only those who think like they do, they believe everyone else is damned and going to hell, can't possibly have a relationship with God, and are rebrobate children of the devil.
If you love those that love you, what reward have ye, do not even the sinners do the same?
They don't have the love of God (compassion for all) they have the love of the world. The love of sinners and publicans. We see their love when we disagree with their doctrine.
I changed my sig line, but it used to say (and it applies here)
"Yeah, I said it, and I used my real name too."

Re: The AFF Cesspool of Compromise
TP, I did consider what you term a "moral standard" and our obligation to that regard. That is why I refrained to comment for the first 1/2 dozen pages.
In the end, I decided the tone of the discussion on the other side (AFF as a cesspool, rotten etc.) pretty much relieved any possible reciprocating courtesy that might be preserved between these forums. It has primarily been destroyed from the other side. Since AFF was the subject I think it should be given special consideration. That is my personal opinion - not that of the Admin team. Please report this thread if you feel it needs to be reviewed by the Admin team.
Secondly, anyone who truly believes their internet forum ramblings are "safe" when there are hundreds of members is simply fooled.

The way that thread was posted here, was any particular persons privacy broken? No. No one knows who said anything. The only known fact for us is that those comments came from people who post on AMF. As far as I can tell no one here is even concerned with who said those words but instead the only point was that conservatives say and think those kind of things. I'll say it one more time. I don't know what you all are complaining about since no individuals privacy was broken.
