Mr. Nut,
It is clear you are rebellious and just don't love God.*
* I am preparing you for the response you are going to get if you leave the UPC.

I assume that this is the question that you want me to respond to. I have no specific plans on leaving and will not leave until/unless I know what God wants me to do--and right now, I do not know what God wants me to do. The Pastor, is very dogmatic as to what he believes, my differences of opinion with him, and others is something that I just cannot get away from, because I am questioning whether or not it's the will of God for me to be there, and because it is going to be real difficult for us to avoid butting heads in the future.

RN,
If I had no problem with the legalism and micro mamagement of the saints lifestyles I would not leave over a couple of small doctrinal differerences that have no impact on ones salvation.
So what if you believe in eternal security and your pastor doesn't? How does that affect your day to day living and walk with God?
You are never going to find a church or pastor who believes everything exactly like you do.
Eternal security and endtime / revelation issues seem pretty small to leave a church over.

I am afraid that it is not that simple. I wish it was, but it is not.

They are extremely difficult to describe to someone who has not experienced them.

You're welcome, I know it's a hard time for you now.

So, I guess simply having a straightforward one on one talk with your pastor is out of your line of thinking. You seem almost dead set in desiring to leave friend. Take the advice of a man who has made that mistake far too many times. Talk to your pastor and ask him for his help. He can and will help you, if you want it.

Has the UPC kicked people out over a literal 1000 year kingdom?
I read about the stand the UPC took on preterism a while back. I think they defined Revelation chapters 4 and up of the Book of Revelation as being after the rapture and about the tribulation (maybe I'm mistaken here), but did they actually disfellowship preterists and/or post trib rapture folks? Bro. Baxter has a monthly column in the Pentecostal Herald and he is post-trib.

No I have not ignored what you wrote. I am not dead set in anything but do not know what I am going to do. Right now, I am just trusting in God to take me where He wants to take me, and to correct me in any ways where I can be wrong. I have spoken to my pastor before about things along these lines and the talks have not been very fruitfull to say the very least.

RN, the reason they have not been fruitful is because, what? Is it because he has set the truth forward in those issues and you refuse to hear it? What? Come on now.

The UPC allows post-tribbers but not preterists.
