So on a serious note , I have heard
1 Tim 2:9 quoted to prove the wrongness of makeup, I guess what I am asking is what does shamefacedness mean ?

I Timothy 2:9 also says women should not wear expensive clothing - has that ever been a "platform" rule??

I have seen women who don't wear makeup who were anything but 'shamefaced'. I think it means a brazen attitude.
