Can't we all agree that these protesters were motivated at least in part by the color of the President's skin?
You know, I don't think BUSH was interrupted these kind of protesters, so yes, it MUST be racially motivated.

And many that voted for him were motivated by the color of his skin. It's a double edge sword, he got in by his color, but many will be against him because if it.

Re: Ok, Now I Will Plea "Race"...

"It's the economy, stupid" was a phrase in American politics widely used during Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign against George H. W. Bush. For a time, Bush was considered unbeatable because of foreign policy developments such as the end of the Cold War and the Persian Gulf War. The phrase, coined by Clinton campaign strategist James Carville, refers to the notion that Clinton was a better choice because Bush had not adequately addressed the economy, which had recently undergone a recession.
History

Look up it's the economy, stupid in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. In order to keep the campaign on message, Carville hung a sign in Bill Clinton's Little Rock campaign headquarters that said:
  1. Change vs. more of the same
  2. The economy, stupid
  3. Don't forget health care.[1]
Although the sign was intended for an internal audience of campaign workers, the phrase became something of a slogan for the Clinton election campaign. Clinton's campaign used the recession to successfully unseat George H.W. Bush. In March 1991, days after the ground invasion of Iraq, 90% of polled Americans approved of President Bush's job performance.[2] Later the next year, Americans' opinions had turned sharply; 64% of polled Americans disapproved of Bush's job performance in August 1992.[2]

I don't believe everyone who criticizes him is racist.

I don't believe everyone who criticizes him is not.

In fact, it is exactly my opinion that some are and that accounts for the intense hatred I've seen and heard expressed towards him.

I think the reaction in Oklahoma is a way beyond overboard. Miss B. explained some stuff to me and I appreciate her taking the time to do that.

What has me irked in all this is that it appears that some of you would like to say that race has absolutely nothing to do with the intensity of the disdain he is experiencing-- a disdain that appears to be personally directed at him as a person.

My head is not in the sand.

My opinion is based on fact, experiences, and history-- some of it recent and some of it not.

I can't believe that I am the only person on AFF that thinks that race has, at least a small part, something to do with the stuff he has endured.

I mean, look at the birther atuff for cryin' out loud!

Look at how long that dragged on and on, look at the people dragging it on and on, look at their demographics!

But some would have me believe that these folks were acting in the best interests of America, right? His skin color had nothing to do with the sheer madness over the birther junk (as if these folks had something over the CIA)!

I've got my umbrella already out this time....
Dude, the same intensity was leveled at Clinton. The same intensity was leveled at Bush. It's politics. The Birther stuff was not about race.

The charge of racism is a getting so over used today it's becoming meaningless. Racism has become the method de jure of the Democratic party. Many good persons have been wrongly demonized with the racist label.

So now, if you oppose Obama's politics, you must be a racist. If you are a Tea Party member, you are a racist. That is truly sick.

Did I agree with it? No.
Did I hear it? Yes, more than a couple times.

The VAST amount of criticism against Bush had nothing to do with his race.

However, there were those who looked at Bush, coupled with their interpretations of his actions, and saw nothing but another arrogant white man that "doesn't give a @@@@ about anyone except his own."
How would you know whether the criticism leveled at Bush was about race? Well one way would be to say stuff about his race right? Where are all the criticisms leveled at Obama that are about his race?

But don't any of you understand? If they play the race card they can get more sympathy which in turns means it easier to get the legislation that they want passed. Why was it OK for numerous people to give lectures on college campuses and make statements about how they would like to kill Pres. Bush and it was all fine and dandy but yet disagree with Obama bin Laden and your a racist? There is a double standard here that is pathetic.

The "race card" is their way of demonizing anyone that disagrees with them
