Re: Full Body Scanning at Airports

I could buy a small engine plane instead of a car this year, but you might decide it would be safer to walk...

Hoovie started this thread.

And BTW, Hoovie, we hijacked your thread with a Coke-hunk and bearded pirate, but my thread that was supposed to be lighthearted fun-Did God Die?-has turned into quite the serious debate!!! So there's the trick. Start out joking, and someone will make it serious. Start out serious, and suddenly, well... hmmm.... maybe I need to go start a serious thread so the Coke-hunk will visit my thread instead of yours!

Re: Full Body Scanning at Airports

If any of you have looked at one of those small engine planes up close, they are literally fabric stretched over bars (probably aluminum) and chains that look more apppropriate when attached to bicycle gears. Orville and Wilbur's idea hasn't been much improved on over the last century in the smaller planes!

Good time to tell the story (again) of one of my wife's tickets. She was driving late at night as I was napping, in West Texas on the way to California. Got nabbed for doing (let's say, for the sake of the story) 85 in a 75 zone. Then I took my turn at the wheel. We saw a "Reduced Speed Ahead" sign, then a bit later a 75 MPH sign. Wife says "I thought it was going to be a reduced speed.". Without regard for my personal safely, I cracked "for some people, that would be!"

I think Hoovie gave up on having a serious thread about 5 pages ago.
