Thousands is clearly too low, at least hundreds of thousands, I don't know about a million plus.

Most news agencies are reporting thousands or "tens of thousands." I haven't seen any clear number yet. I don't think it was nearly as high as 2 million, but it was significant, and the Democrats will be stupid to look the other way.
By the way...want to know what the white house thinks of American voices--those citizens marching today?
"I don't know who the group is," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters with a shrug." (on Friday) --Source
And then....
"But a House leadership aide warned fellow Democrats that up to 2 million demonstrators could turn out.
"It looks like Saturday's event is going to be a huge gathering, estimates ranging from hundreds of thousands to 2 million people," Doug Thornell, an aide to Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., wrote in a memo obtained by FOXNews.com."
Hmmmmm...how did a lowly aide know about the "group" and the march, but the President's henchman didn't have a clue?
Looks like Joe Wilson wasn't lying about, well...liars.

I have been involved, or present, for some of the number games the media plays before. We were at the huge Rally for Life in DC (I believe in 92) where there were 600-700 thousand present. On the way home we got to listen to CNN report how 60 thousand people (not 600) showed up and how it was a large gathering but not as big as a rally of the NAG's was a month prior (National Association of Gals) which they said had about 200 thousand -and in reality THEY only had about 50-60 thousand. So they purposelfully underestimated our numbers by 1/9th to 1/10th and OVERestimated the NAGs numbers by a factor of 4 or 5. It was maddening to BE THERE and hear the lies being reported.

Last year I think they estimated the March for Life at 300,000. The Washington Post didn't even cover it the next day.

I remember a trail ride I participated in during High School. My father told us which horses we could take. I chose one that I wasn't supposed to take - of course! It threw a shoe and I had to walk it! When we got to the end of the drive, my father took the reins out of my hand, put the horse on the trailer and never said a word. That was enough. I never did it again! LOL!

An initial report said that the D.C. policemen were estimating it to be 1.2 million.
