I love Jackie Gingrich Cushman. One thing that I don't agree with her on is the "Are you going to college?"

The National Chamber of Commerce put out a piece talking about the Bachelor's Degree being way too overrated. We need people who are experienced in other areas like electricians, welders, etc.

I would like the hardest workers to obtain advancement and not just because they hold a degree of sorts. I hope the Chamber pushes that issue.

I don't think anyone should feel guilty for not trusting Obama. I understand the negative reactions from parents, even though I still say they're somewhat hypocritical. However, all's well that ends well, and the speech was actually a good one.

Save the angst for stuff that really rankles.

Many who opposed it were saying that even the act of trying to talk to all the kids was unprecedented...they didn't realize that a Rep. had done it before. Also many, many, many government officials of all levels do it all the time.

My additional point is that there are parents in the schools that I talk to who are not necessarily thrilled that this Apostolic minister is talking to their children. At the very least are we saying that I need to submit an unambiguous lesson plan for their approval?
