OK - here's the problem I see with this: the Bible (Paul) says, "Let the Bishop (pastor) be the husband of one wife". Kind of difficult for a woman to be a 'husband', and also excludes those ministries that have and are involved in multiple marriages (which seems to be ok now).
You may think that Paul was prejudiced against women but He was the Apostle, not you. Not to offend but your opinion or my opinion does not matter against the Word. I am not an apostle, nor are you, but Paul was and we are formed upon the words of the APOSTLES and PROPHETS, not the opinions of any others!
Yes Paul was an Apostle and he was prejudiced and you do not offend my opinion.I believe I stated earlier on in this thread my opinion on this matter. However as Brother Todd also stated earlier in this thread that some women step up because there is not a man to do so,ie...This day and age the woman is the head of the house because she is a single mother.Same with this little Church up the road from my house.Never been there myself but it is run by a group of women.Funny thing is this Church is old and according to my grandmother it's always as far back as she remembers, been run by women. My Grandmother is 84 years old.
I will stick to the class room and I will stick to teaching little Children about the Lord.I like the simplicity of teaching Children. It is the Adults that has made the word of God more difficult then it really is.

Have you asked your husband wether you can post this, do you even have his permission?
This is rather hateful...for us that remember the little old spiritual women in the Church House If your married she needs to bop you too

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.
And since when does preaching the Word of God constitute someone having headship over another????
What do you think Christ is spoke of in Eph 5? Are you trinitarian or do you believe that is dealing with the ministry that Christ set up?
??
Does the Bible mention men having headship over other men??
Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
No woman should ever pastor as that would place her over th headship of men in the congregation
To be fair, you must also believe that men who pastor are placed as headship of all women in the congregation.
In addition, ministry, regardless of whether or not it's made up of men, women, or both, has nothing to do with headship that was spoken of in 1 Cor. 11. Headship refers to husband and wife ONLY, with God and Jesus as head over the man.
Headship and someone having rule over you are not synonymous. Police have rule over you, but they aren't your head.

At the moment, I have no husband, but if I did, he'd be a man that wouldn't expect nor demand me to ask his permission to do anything I wanted to do.
In addition, he'd be a man that would love to have a wife that thinks for herself and makes her own decisions, and even learn a thing or two from her once in a while!

It also excludes single men, if you want to get technical.
That scripture says MUST be the husband of one wife, not ABLE TO BE the husband of one wife.

I have pretty much decided that people are going to do as they please, and believe what they will regardless of what anyone says about it.....
Which is more important, discussing issues to get people to believe like you (or me), or discussing them to learn the differences we all have in our beliefs, right or wrong?

Been run by women? Lord help us! By your own admission you have a Jezebel Church that probably mirrors the one in Rev.
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
