Personally, I don't think "conservative Pentecostals" will ever govern America. We do not, as a movement, have the theonomic hutzpah to even attempt a try at it.
thank God.

you would have to include the wearing of short sleeves. blue jean skirts, swimming, baseball, football, and I suppose apple pie.
more importantly people would go to jail for wearing short sleeves.... it isnt about what good, it is about what extreme.
the thing about UCs is they are human. While one might think they have the mind of God on a particular issue, one must realize that absent any countering power, humans are subject to one over riding reality.
Power corrupts. Absolute Power corrupts, Absolutly.
If you want an example of what it might be like for a conservative Christian to run the country, watch the movie Escape From L. A.
Though I am not an ultra-con... I have been a little concerned about whether you hate me or not... thanks for clearing up this troublesome matter!
Don't you love passive agressive posters?
LOL!!! You have witnessed my hatred first hand. Had you ever seen such hatred, disgust, bitterness, and er....ah....all that stuff in all of your life??????
and because He is God which makes what ever He decides both right and righteous.
And did not God decide and declare that the nations ought to serve Him?
What could be wrong with that?
Why do Christians oppose a Christian society so much?
All this nonsense about short sleeve-wearers going to jail... please.
While I am sure you could find SOMEBODY who would actually promote such a whacko idea, I am far more certain that neither you nor Chan(cellor) here have a good grasp of what it is you are opposing.
I just find it monstrously ironic that those who profess to be Christians are among the most ardently opposed to the idea of society being governed by the principles of God's Word, as opposed to the humanistic garbage we've had shoved at us for decades, nay even centuries, now...

Society WILL be governed by the principles of God's word - it's just that the Bible says it will be JESUS who establishes that government and NOT the Church! You commit rebellion and treason against God by even suggesting that it's the Church's job to take over governments and social institutions when you know full well that Jesus NEVER commanded that. He commanded the Church to go into all the world and make DISCIPLES, not take over governments and social institutions. We're here in this wicked world as AMBASSADORS, not as an invading army!
Furthermore, I put forward to you all that we, as a "group of people", are incredibly ignorant of the basic issues involved here. We have not spent any time seriously inquiring into the proper role of human government, and the gospel's relationship to nations (and not just individuals), nor have we even given any thought at all to determining the distinctions between Biblical ecclesial government and Biblical civil government.

Eman, until that which is perfect shall come, we look thru a glass darkly...
in otherwords, until Jesus comes, we have imperfection. we cannot do what you suggest because we are humans and we are imperfect.
you could not be further from the truth in suggesting that
1. I dont know what I am talking about
2. that I dont want our nation governed by Gods word.
your suggestion is both absurd and vulger to say the least.
What i do not want is some small group of men who govern autocratically even if they claim to be the same kind of Chirstian that I am. It isnt because of what they believe, or even in theory, what they would institute.
it is because they are humans who will most assuredly mess things up. there is no such thing as a benevolent dictator.

well, thank God that most are ignorant of what you believe the "issues" are.
never the less. I disagree with you in general.

The nations are as a drop in a bucket to God! We, the Church, have only ONE ROLE here in this world and that is to serve as Christ's ambassadors communicating ONE MESSAGE: "be reconciled to God."
