That's ignorant. Again it proves how little you really know about the situation. For the most part ARMS don't qualify to meet the CRA requirements in most states. However, the banks still issued them like they were candy above and beyond anything the CRA ever required. Why? Because industry deregulation allowed the banks to do so.

Banks were certainly to blame, but you're pretty ignorant if you're unaware of the derivatives market and the residuals that were garnered by servicing the growing debt load. In less than 10 years that market went from $0 to $55 Trillion and was the catalyst that fired the "growing" economy.

We need a generation that actually implements fiscal conservatism. Not the RINOs like the Bush dynasty. They were really nice guys but they weren't Ronald Reagan.
When we finally get there, there will be a bit of a continuing downturn like the early 80's, but personal responsibility and personal freedom will always prevail over "the government that serves you..."
We paid a BOATLOAD of taxes this past year -and will pay even more this year, as a total amount AND as a percentage! Should we not have MORE say in how this money is spent?
