Re: Changing Denominations

I mean no harm to anybody here I love people in all demoninations I wouldn't harm anyone but I do think what the early church taught as foundational truths are worth contending for.

Re: Changing Denominations

I don't hardly know what to say after reading this thread.

I respect anyone's decision to make changes, they are the ones that have to live with their decisions.

I take exceptions to pointing out specific folks for their personal beliefs. I think it is uncalled for, but that is just me.

As long as I have been in UPC folks, outsiders, have called us cults. There are some assemblies I think would probably qualify for that title. But as a whole I don't believe that is a fair assessment.

Like Cindy said folks, we need to respond as Christians, be Christ like. I don't think some of these post fit that description.

Re: Changing Denominations

I can't put people in the Kingdom of Heaven or take them out of The Kingdom,as all I can do is be a witness of what I experience and understand about the word in a correct spirit.

Perhaps if we all spoke to one another with more of the gentleness and meekness of Christ we could avoid such divisive conversation and labels.

The testimony of David was, "Thy gentleness hath made me great."

Would that were our collective goal.
I think many of the UPCI ministers in the organization.

Should be forced to go to another church and sit under the leadership for 6 months.

They should not share that they are a minister in the organization.

Then poll them and see what they think of the ministry.

They would say, "Man am I glad to get out from under this Napoleonistic atmosphere"!

I didn't think that there was any way on earth I was going to comment in this thread... But I have to now...

Great scripture... so very true.

Where there is no pride... there is no contention.

Thanks for sharing the scripture.

Re: Changing Denominations

As far being a cult alot of people in the church world could fit the bill but all Oneness people are not cultic, nor all oneness pentecostal people legalistic.

Brother Neck,

You seem to be very critical and...I must speak the truth...judgmental about the faith your father lived and loved.

I hope you can find peace and a way to be at one with yourself.

Blessings.
