TX program has a 7 county wide program/insurance called Northstar... which is for aliens or residents who don't have any insurance and limited income. I hospitalize people almost every day who are indigent and have no medical insurance...and Northstar pays 100%. Yes, you are right it is draining Texas resources. They need more preventative care instead of all the hospitalizations and medications they pay for.

I must admit this does burn me, here I'm a US citizen who works hard and our Government takes money out of each of my paychecks plus I pay my taxes and still can't afford health insurance. Then you have some illegal alien who can go down and get free medical and dental this stinks! Sure, I have a heart but when I can’t even take my own sick kids to the doctor due to the $89.00 just to walk in the clinic’s front door, plus if they run a test, throw another $100.00 or two in there; then if they need meds that’s another $100.00. If you live in America you best never get real sick or have an on-going condition, unless your illegal because you’ll go bankrupt losing all you own just to pay for your meds, hospital stay . The last time I had a woman’s yearly physical was two years ago. It ran me $600.00 and that was without the mongram and that would’ve ran $1000.00! That robbery

Ted Kennedy described how health care would be paid for under Universal Health Care (socialized medicine) system.
He said we would be completely covered, all our needs provided, and it would not cost us anything --not one cent. If we have a job, our employer will pay for it. If we don't have a job, the government will pay for it.

The church is the hands, feet, arms, hands, heart, etc. of Jesus.
We are to clothe the naked, feed the poor, heal the sick, lodge the homeless etc. However there is one requirement in 2 Thessalonians 3:10.

Here's another one of the countless examples of hard working Americans who are being denied a basic service that every Canadian receives.

Medicare is a source of pride for Canadians, and the lack of universal health care should be a source of shame for Americans.

Under socialized medicene the Federal Government would probably take about double that from each of us to add coverage for the masses that are too lazy to work or to unmotivated to get a job with health benefits.
I am retired from GE after 32 years of employment. I receive a modest pension each month. My wife and I are both receiving Social Security and we are on Medicare. As one of my benefits as a GE retiree, I have a medical insurance policy which helps pay what Medicare does not. This is subsidized by GE. Our monthly cost for Medicare is $187 ($93.50 apiece) and for the Medicare supplemental health insurance from GE our monthly cost is $208 ($104 apiece). There are also deductible amounts which are not covered by Medicare or the Medicare supplements.

This report was shared by the former WI-DS during a recent WI minister's conference.... can anyone verify this as being true?

While living in UT, for four years the LDS church is the only one I've seen were it's members take care of their own and other's outside of their faith in time of need and hardships. witness this first hand.
