Ever been around a person and you just had a gut feeling that they really didn't like you? Really difficult to prove, right?

This is similar to that-- it's impossible to nail down exactly one instance, it's a culmination of instances that has given me the same gut feeling over and over again.

I have the same impression of Fox. They're no more fair and balanced than any of the rest of 'em no matter how much they like to pretend to be the paragon of objectivity, free of subjective bias. It's especially nauseating when Bill O'Reilly brags about his 'no spin zone'. LOL! Take Greta's dealio with Palin tonight. That was a puff piece if I ever saw one. There were so many softballs flying through the air I thought I was in a batting cage. It was propaganda, not news. But, to be fair, the same sort of crock goes on at MSNBC, CNN, and the rest of 'em. They're all partisan, nobody is objective.

There are crimes against people of all races that happen every day that don't make national news. If we were to hear about everything that happened everywhere, we'd probably want to kill ourselves.

I read news that happens to white people in the Chicago area all the time that doesn't make national news. How many here have heard about two white women that have been missing for over a year from the Chicago suburbs?

One of them is the wife of a now former police officer. I think she made the national news, but the woman who disappeared 6 months before her hasn't. In fact, since Stacy Peterson's disappearance, Lisa Stebic's disappearance has been given the back burner, even in her own area.

National news has nothing to do with race. It's fact that celebs and those in the spotlight will get the news more than those who aren't. It's no different than the news we see on this forum about bad things that happen to well-known people in the UPC and such.

A person's perception can be flawed if they don't have all of the facts.


Until a person gets all the facts their perception will be their reality.

It didn't help for me to later on hear about FOX News and its accusations, but most of the stuff never made any sense.


FOX News does have the reputation, however, that St. Mark alluded to in his opening post.

I think ALL the news media is full of propaganda. That's what the public wants and that's what the media delivers. There isn't a single news group that strictly sticks to the news and even their news coverage is full of speculation.
