McCain wants to delay debate in order to return to washington and solve the bailout process. Bush's bill on the bailout is DOA. Wonder if wanting zero oversight on how 700 billion is spent has anything to do with it. see article for bailout clause on how no oversight was requested. More republican fraud and high handed tactics. Mcain is going down with Bush.

Republicans like Richard Shelby, Jim Bunning, and Chuck Hagel don't need John McCain looking over their shoulder to fix the banking crisis.
Again, given his past history on financial issues, John McCain isn't exactly a trusted voice on the issue.
I think it was a smart move by McCain politcally on the surface given the beating he's taking on the economy issue in the polls, but we'll have to see how it works out for him.
I think "political stunt" can be seen from either side.
even so, all Obama had to do was say he agreed and show up in Washington and both would have been viewed as heroic.
now all we really know is that somebody is playing politics.

Oh and there are so many more than you would expect that like that other guy.
I think it is funny how here in AZ the Dem's complain about how McCain would not vote to bring mney from the national level into AZ but yet we have a Dem governor that has us in a 1 billion dollar deficit. The Dem's here better pray hard that some changes for them or they most likely will not control things here much longer. We have a Mayor in our capitol that is a Dem also and he has our city in a deficit also.
Why not put a Dem in the white house let them put our nation deeper in a hole. If they run the senate, house, and white house we are in BIG trouble.

Yes, if the Dems control the White house and both congresses we certainly will be in big time trouble.

So...now Obama has agreed to meet in Washington for Thurday....hummmmm
I wonder who convinced him to "change" his mind?
I feel like I'm watching a chess game...

Dan, if a conservative walked on water you'd find fault. Maybe Obama can't call off the debate cause he has a date to dance with gay Ellen again. He does that better than he does being a leader.
