Re: Gov. Sarah Palin's acceptance speech

Is it possible that Sarah Palin will sway some of the young voters? I know some 18 to 25 yr olds are pretty excited. My grandaughter who is soon to be an "army wife", is very impressed with her.

My children, 20 and 23 will be voting because they don't want Obama to win.

Regardless of the substance or anyone's position on her views.

Finally a candidate that has the ability to communicate.

She did not appear nervous, rushed, over excited.

She did not stumble over her words.

She was great...

Re: Gov. Sarah Palin's acceptance speech

My son 18 and thought he would not vote in his first chance to vote.

Really sat and just continued to look at me as she spoke.

I think that she is reaching the youth.

She caused him to ask me questions.

Yup, the Democrats are mad now because they realize they have a real fight on their hands.

O'Reilly has been asking Obama for months now to show up on his show. And Obama decides to do it on the day McCain is going to give his acceptance speech?

I think they should have just taped it and run it another night.

Its not a ridiculous statement, sir. It's a figure of speech. Its a hyperbolic comparison. The actual numbers per se are not the issue. The issue is the comparison of Palin's and Biden's numbers, relatively speaking:

Yes Palin got less than 700 votes, but her city had less than 5500 people in it. Huckabee is drawing attention to the fact that Biden got only 9000 votes when he ran for president of the United States.
