Amen!
You never know what someone is going through at a time when they say somethings that does not seem reasonable and one find an occassion to find fault with them and attack, regardless how wise their words may sound.
Truth can indeed hurt but there is a time and place for all things. Sometimes we need to understand when it is time to rally around someone that just needs a little encouragement rather than the truth pushed down their throats and choke them to death. There is a time and place for truth which must surely come, but now this dear lady needs affirmation, strengthening and ecouragement. Let us do what we can to lift her up in prayer and encourage her here.
Just my thoughts.

And sometimes people don't need "enablers" they need friends to speak frankly to them.
I went back thru and didn't see any comments that were insulting or rude, just frank and truthful.
If I had become near sighted and focused on my own angst and dissatisfaction, I would want someone to shake me out of my reverie and help me to refocus on what is truly important in life.
If that's not what is desired in this case, then I'll gladly withdraw and keep my comments to myself, but I will not be an enabler.

MP,
The key word here is FRIEND...I don't know you and you are not my friend. As far as enabling...that is ridiculous. I am not an addict and you are not my keeper. I did not ask your opinion and the opening remarks, again I remind you, were not about my qualifications to be a missionary. That is not your call to make.

Ok, in the future, Rhoni, when you post something on a public forum I will not respond with my ideas and input.
I assumed you were posting for people's response and opinion, but I was mistaken.
God bless.

Thank you, it sounds like many people put their two cents worth into whether or not I would make a good missionary and like I said...I don't remember asking anyone's opinion on my qualifications to be a missionary.
I agree, and stated that I am not in a good place right now [not talking about sin] but am unsatisfied with what I am doing, what I am not doing, or where I am...bored is a good way to describe how I feel about most things...and this forum being one of them. Looks like you guys should be focusing on your own character/plank in your eye, than trying to pick the splinter from mine.
Good night.

Re: The REASON I want to be a missionary...
Rhonda,
I think you are getting a little off track here.
Some of the things said here had nothing to do with your qualifications of being a missionary and I believe those things are what you are most upset about.
As Apprehended said, sometimes the truth does hurt and if you'd stop and see that even though some of the words that have been said here are very hurtful I believe they have been said to be helpful.
Take some time to step back a bit and think it all through.

Very little on this thread has been helpful and has been very hurtful. I didn't need this. I don't accept it and I will take a step away for a time. But don't think for an instant I accept any of this.
Blessings, Rhoni
