Yumm that sounds good, minus the peas and carrots, hubby won't do those.

Butter is better than margarine and you can buy butter now that is mixed with EVOO or Canola

Bullion is a great idea!
your gonna have a hard time finding a pilaf without peas.... its kind of what makes it pilaf....
but yea, bullion really will make it flavorful.
I buy a jar of stuff from Costco that is better than the cubes. you use a spoon because its a very thick substance. its stock that is just really cooked way down.
you can also saute onions and garlic and do the same thing, or add some bell peppers (red is nice for color) if you dont have a too picky eater!
