I am very insistent that I do not agree with the mentality of some ... in a fellowship or not ... I have also been critical of a structure ... not all the people in the org ... you can broadbrush it a bashing an entire church organization if you so desire ....with those you don't agree with ... but the record may demonstrate something else.

The REAL issue is that name calling is NOT allowed nor will it be tolerated JUST because a few think they are justified because of someone's outrageous opinions or statements.

that's the only thing. It does not mean I agree with Epley. It does not mean I disagree with you. It does not mean anything other than name calling is not allowed and if someone sees Epley name call, report it. The post that you reported does not have him name calling. Being "culturally insensitive" is not a rule violation. You all have the right to point out how outrageous his statement is, but nobody has the right to name call.

It's expected that when an Epley says something outrageous that you guys are able to refute his statements intelligently. Name calling as a response is not welcome. That is just how it is and will be. There will be no rule change to accomodate those that feel they are justified in calling others names.

If you feel that is wrong, take it up with the admins in private.

I know that. Im speaking in generalities. Nor did I say he was being unpolite. I am speaking matter of factly and without emotion. Name calling is not tolerated. There is no justification for it. Epley did not name call. Being culturally insensitive or being wrong opinioned about a cultural issue is not a rule violation that I know of and I whole heartily agree with your right to show how wrong that person is if they are wrong. This is a open discussion BUT it will not involve name calling. You all understand?

I understand, Praxeas. I will ask you to ponder the following ... is it possible to insult someone without directly calling them names???? If so does it apply in this situation? Will this forum allow insults that are not examples of direct name calling? If so, should the rules be amended to reflect this policy?
