I was kind to this lady and treated her with respect .... just as I do any other. I would never be unkind in any intentional way, but to say I'm not affected by this type of thing would be dishonest. I am. It repulses me. However, this lady would never have known how I felt.

I feel sorry for these women, I do, but at the same time I don't understand why they don't try a little harder to be more feminine. There are things a woman can do to appear more feminine rather than masculine.

I commend you for your ministry and reaching out to the people you do. God bless you for it.

Maybe she didn't want to.

Apparently, and I find that very hard to understand.

Well. Forgive my lack of sympathy...LOL!!!!

Got facial hair? Hello wax strips!

Walk like a man? Put on a pair of feminine heels and just try to keep that manly strut goin' while you are 4 inches off the ground.

Dress like a man? Put on a dress. Make sure it's made out of something soft, lacy, fluffy, silky or satiny.

Can't grow long hair? Tie a ribbon or scarf around your head. I'd be willing to wager the difference will be obvious.

Have bushy eyebrows? Learn how to use a pair of tweezers.

Hair on your ears? Hello wax strips again.

Have manly BO? Take baths twice a day and use deoderant regularly. Goodness, shower after every meal if that's what it takes.

Hairly legs? SHAVE them. (GASP--what a novel idea)

COME on...I can understand that not all women are born with an hourglass figure and are naturally hairless, or have long, gorgeous, wavy tresses...but you can look feminine if you WANT to look feminine, and you can act feminine if you WANT to.

Huh-uh. I don't buy it. I do not buy the idea that a person can't help but be masculine. You take the most shapeless woman and put her in heels and a pretty dress, and she will look like a woman in spite of herself.

Maybe she was born having both sexes and her parents made the wrong decision. Who knows?

While it's more than likely she chooses to dress that way and nothing physiologically is wrong, it's possible that she cannot help it.

In some of the posts above, hermaphrodites were mentioned. They do exist, and most of the time, a wrong choice was made without considering genetics.

Just throwing out a possibility out there.

Oh Thou Who Lovest To Discuss The Most Unlikely Scenario...

In general, ALL of my very practical (though a few painful, but Hey!, it's about beauty!) suggestions would work, even for a hermaphroditey. I think if a man can dress in drag and pull it off, then surely someone who was born a man, turned into a woman, and later realized she was a he, but he was stuck being a she, could pull it off as well.

So my brilliant suggestion is that hermaphrodites should dress in drag.

Not relating to what others have.

This might be hard for many to understand ---
  • If you take a person, usually male, and castrate them (or have them born without normally functioning gonads) - such that there is NO testosterone, they cannot relate to sex. They cannot relate to sexual impulses and desires. It is like another reality, another planet. Those desires and joys and impulses are absent. The need to present themselves in a way that is attractive to the opposite sex is nonexistent - completely.

In the same way, using the sister I mentioned above as my example, those with an abundance of the opposite sex's hormones, or with the opposite sex's chromosomes, feel no desire to make themselves fit into a mold that they do not come close to relating to.

In the case of this sister in the Lord, she does shave her legs, but would rather not. She would rather be working in boots and jeans and flannel shirt then being in a feminine dress, bra, and have her hair all fixed up. She does try to fit the mold of what is "normal" but she does not relate to the need most women have to present themselves as attractive to the opposite sex and feminine. She attempts to fit the churches and societies mold only because she has been so rejected (and still is regardless of her attempts). She wants someone to be her friend, so she does what society/church expects of her. However, she cannot relate to it in the slightest. Yes, this sister LOVES the Lord with her whole heart. She is not perverted and she does not have a homosexual spirit or tendency. It is just her physical makeup.

As a side note: I have heard of people born with both sex's gonads (hermaphrodite) being told they need to get delivered from a demon. That once they get free from their demon, their bodies would be "normal." This is ignorance to the max.

Now, using her example, what about women (or men) that don't know the Lord that have this complete lack of understanding and drive. Wouldn't you expect that they would do what came natural to them? I.e. Dress and walk and act like what they feel. (No, I am not talking about those engaging in homosexual acts and desires.)
