Mercy is female, and she was making the point that just because Senator Obama's name kinda sounds like Osama Bin Laden's name it is horrible taste to associate the two. The sting in calling Amazing "fake" was to be bold with the point I later made. (that it should stop)

It bothers me that every time I read these message boards "somebody" has to go there with his name.

Okay Mercy, just so you know, I don't assume anyone's political persuasion including yours. Obama is a political figure and things are gonna be said about him because they don't like his politics. If I had the chance, I would tell him to his face that I don't really care about his politics, whether you believe it or not. It's okay that you post here, just keep in mind that we all get blasted at some point on this forum. BTW, I'm not hiding in cyberspace, most people know my name on this forum. Be blessed!

Oh for sure I'd tell a lot of people if I had the chance to have a conversation with them a lot of things....but the point I was making is that NO ONE would call him Osama to his face. Not one. Not one. And I was saying dont say it behind his back what you definately wont say to his face.

Thats all.

It's fine to not like his politics...I have YET to see a political figure that I like thier politics...on both sides. But it doesnt warrant calling him Osama to me.

I agree with Scott's post previous to this one. I also believe there will be an assassination attempt on Obama and if not successful, probably more attempts. It is a horrific thought but very likely. IMO, it is more likely because he is black. To say all presidential assassination attempts were on white men is ridiculous. We have never had a black president. I think Obama's race is the greatest factor in his risk of assassination. His politics run second to his race.
