I have only read the initial post on this thread but I want to join in saying that I love the UPC.

If it were not for the UPC we would be standing in lines at stores a lot longer as clerks looked for price stickers and then would have to call for a price check if, heaven forbid, any item might have had the price sticker fall off.

I say hats off to the Universal Pricing Code!!!!! (even if many Pentecostals thought it was the sign of the beast when it came out)
