Besides, I'm sure it was horrifying at the time, but now, all there is to do is laugh. It's after the fact.......Hahaha!

As for Jesus not approving of the sale of items in church, that's nowhere in the Bible. He was against people cheating others, and that's what was happening when He tipped over their tables, thus the reason why He accused them of making the church a den of thieves. They were stealing from the people by cheating them, not merely selling things. In addition, they weren't selling things in Sunday School. It was fake money the kids won and were 'spending'.

It appears from the first post that someone thought it was a chocolate rose wrapped in foil. It was an innocent oversight. The Dollar Store isn't known for going all out in being specific about their products anyway.....LOL!
That is what I was referring to, a gentlemens(?) club the dancers [female] have been known to wear such things *shrug* At least from what I've seen in the past, in movies.

From what I've understood, at the temple, there were people selling things like 'doves' for sacrifices, probably at steeep prices., and this evidently displeased Him.

Innocent oversight, of course, and that had to have been truly embarassing for the woman to receive THAT kind of rose, lol and the poor child probably felt bad, too., perhaps henceforth the adults should inspect everything first. NOW they know.

Simply... number one... they are for sale on ever aisle in the undergarment section of walmart...

Number 2... 99.99 % of those roses in question... come as either chocolate roses or silk roses... very rarely will you find them with this as the ingredient... thus why would someone want to open every one.. Just silly.. apparently you have never been in the situation to make a mistake in your life.. but now you have... surprise! To throw condemnation for this is just stupid! I am sure the parent took it as exactly what it was... an accident. Most people have a forgiving and understand heart... try it sometimes! You might find life to be a bit more comfortable.
I see you're now reading my posts again, couldn't resist?
"back atcha"., I made NO mistake..pls get over it.

This is such a WEIRD post. Why would your only understanding of what a "thong" is be related to ANY kind of dancer, male or female? A thong is a piece of women's lingerie sold commonly everywhere!

You're making it sound as if the thong in and of itself has some sort of "badness" associated with it. The only thing even slightly embarrassing here was a son accidentally giving his mother a piece of lingerie. It wouldn't matter if it was a bra, panties, or a slip. It's the same degree of inappropriate, but no one was really at fault.

Again...I just find your reaction kind of strange, that's all. You're acting like you've never even seen or heard of a thong, except in relation to some kind of illicit or nefarious activity!

Why is it strange, you think all women wear such an item?
..why would I automatically know all that much about it, I don't care to wear such an item do you? I've grown up in a beach city, of COURSE I've seen women wear them as a swimsuit(?)

I consider that type of 'undergarment' as risque (sp?)., or provacative., just as you infer that its inappropriate as well., Anyways JMHO ya'll can keep on wonderin & talkin about my comments, laugh if you must, or whatever..
g'night!

I could almost guarantee 75% or more of your youth ladies wear them.

There is no immodest or modest underwear. That's why it's called UNDERwear. Good grief!

Of course not. I just thought all women were AWARE that this particular piece of lingerie existed. Along with lacy bras, garter belts, thigh-high pantyhose, and all sorts of other sexy things.

I wouldn't answer you one way or the other, especially not in a public forum, but I will say that wearing "such an item" under your clothing is certainly no one's business but the wearer--or their spouse.

Ahem. I did NOT say that thongs are inappropriate! Please read my post again. I said that the only thing [accidentally] inappropriate was a SON giving his MOTHER a pair of underwear. It doesn't matter what kind they were. LOL!!!!

As for risque or provocative. I am a married woman. I am free to be as risque or provocative as I wish--behind closed doors, or within whatever lingerie I choose to wear behind closed blouses and skirts!!!!! Goodness!

That's right!

It's not for God's sake because he sees us all naked anyway!
