I have a PW friend who made up her mind at a fairly young age she would never allow any boy to kiss her before she was married. She kept her promise to herself. Amazing to me!

I admire her for being able to do that. I'm not saying that's necessary or what everyone should do, but many would spare themselves a LOT of problem and heartache if they did do that.

Oh okay - thanks.

I do know that the marriage ceremony "kiddushin" is the sanctifying of the bride to the groom. A rabbi, in a class I sat in on, told me, that before that time, (the ceremony) the man could have been with any other woman he chose. But after the vows, they become sanctified to one another and cannot be with anyone else. I am not saying the rabbi was condoning pre-marital sex. He was only speaking in principle.
Okay, this is part of what I've heard before in regard to this at least.

Thanks.

They only missed it for a couple or years, but they've had more than 30 years of what they didn't give into before marriage. And their dating/enagement period was minus the guilt and the problems that come - like premarital sex and pregnancy for example - that happens to many other couples.
